Prims-Theel-Erlebnisweg

A family-friendly tour of around 21 km (there and back) through the charming natural landscape of the Prims and Thellauen meadows.

The Prims Wheel Adventure Trail is a joint project between the municipalities of Schmelz, Nalbach and the town of Lebach. The family-friendly and largely barrier-free trail connects Schmelz via Primsweiler with Nalbach and Lebach and opens up the charming natural landscape of the Prims and Theel floodplains to cyclists, hikers and all those seeking relaxation, with numerous small ponds inviting them to take a break.

The route is also signposted as a tourist variant of the Primstal Cycle Route Dr. Hanspeter Georgi and is connected to the nationwide cycle route network.

The tour starts at the Asian Garden in Lebach, from where it leads down the Theel to the mouth of the Prims before Körprich.
Note: At Knorscheid (located between Lebach and Körprich), the tour also connects to the "Primstal cycle path", the Schmelzer Runde and the Lebacher Runde in the direction of Schmelz.

On the section of the cycle path before Körprich, you cycle to the left along the 414-metre-high Hoxberg between Saarwellingen and Lebach, where the northern shaft of the Saar mine is located, which was the deepest shaft still in operation in Europe until 2012.

After passing the mouth of the Theel into the Prims, you soon reach the picturesque pond area near Bilsdorf with its countless enchanting little ponds, which - nestled in wooded surroundings - offers a wonderful place to rest. You can relax between water lilies, willows and water.The Prims Wheel Adventure Trail ends in Nalbach and continues along the Primstal cycle path towards Dillingen, where you can take a look at the last steel blast furnace still in operation in Saarland, the Dillinger Hütte. There is also a connection to the Lebacher Runde in Nalbach, as well as at the starting point of the tour at the Asian Garden in Lebach.
