Etappe 1: Niederstetten - Ingelfingen | Württemberger Weinradweg

The first stage of the Württemberg Wine Cycle Trail leads from the lovely Tauber Valley to Hohenlohe - from Niederstetten to Ingelfingen through vineyards, along rivers and through picturesque little towns.

The first stage of the Württemberger Weinradweg begins in the enchanting town of Niederstetten, in the middle of the idyllic Vorbachtal valley.

The first stop is in the southern wine town of Weikersheim. The magnificent Renaissance palace with its beautiful gardens is well worth a visit. The route continues through the lovely Tauber Valley to Markelsheim, which also has a long wine-growing tradition. The traditional spa town of Bad Mergentheim with its numerous historic buildings and pretty alleyways is also located on the Württemberg Wine Cycle Route.

Here you leave the Tauber Valley. Passing Stuppach, the route reaches the Jagsttal valley in Dörzbach. The route continues past shell limestone vineyards to Krautheim and over into the Kocher Valley near Künzelsau-Belsenberg. Ingelfingen is the final destination of the first stage and you can see the Ingelfinger Fass in the vineyards from afar.
