Description

On one of the shortest routes to the highest peak of the Harz Mountains - the Brocken. The marked hiking trail starts at the Oderbrück parking lot and leads relatively flatly ascending next to a stream through the forest. Following the signs 9D and Kaiserweg, you reach the Dreieckiger Pfahl, the border between Lower Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt. The Kolonnenweg then continues quite steeply on paved ground, which is also suitable for inexperienced hikers. Arriving at the tracks of the Brocken Railway, the hike continues on the Goetheweg along the tracks to the Brockenstraße. The entire hiking trail is surrounded by diverse nature and great views of the Harz Mountains.
