Description

This short hike for the whole family starts right in the city center. You walk along the ski meadow to the Loipentor, where you are already rewarded with the first view over the city after less than a kilometer. The tour continues along the outskirts until you reach the mountain meadows at Hasselkopf and one of Braunlages most beautiful viewpoints, the Adamsblick. Enjoy the view of the Wurmberg, the course of the former inner-German border, and the Achtermannshöhe!

The return leg of the tour takes you along the main shopping street past numerous shops and dining options back to the starting point. It is also suitable for a shopping spree.

Route description

Follow the signs for Tour 2 from the starting point towards the ski meadow to the Loipentor. From there, walk on the Brockenumgehung of the Harzer-Hexen-Stieg towards the sports field and youth hostel. Once there, you are above the Arnikawiesen and follow the signposted path towards the cemetery and Meilerplatz. Along the way, you will cross the main road at the edge of Braunlage. Once you reach the Meilerplatz, head towards Adamsblick. From there, walk towards the city center, along Braunlages main shopping street, passing by shops, restaurants, and cafes, back to the center and the starting point of the tour.

Throughout the entire round, you have the option to shorten the tour and turn towards the city center.
