Located in the floodplain landscape of the rivers Elbe and Mulde, the Garden Realm of Dessau-Wörlitz offers a cycling tour that combines culture and nature.

Train connection: Dessau, Wörlitz (June 19 – July 10 Wednesday – Sunday, July 11 – August 28 daily, August 29 – October 3 Wednesday – Sunday), Coswig

Our tip: Detour to Luisium Castle. Follow the signposted route to the right! Return to the bike path.

Straight ahead through the Elbe meadows towards Wörlitz.

Next stop: Sieglitzer Park (10 km)
Worth seeing: Wall Gate and Diana Temple on the Elbe bank in Vockerode

Continue through the Elbe meadows towards Wörlitz. Nearly the entire route passes through the Middle Elbe Biosphere Reserve. (18 m)

Continue on the Elbe Cycle Path to Coswig! Cross the Elbe with the Gierfähre ferry. (25 km) Follow the signs to Coswig train station in the city center.

Directions

Head towards Georgium Castle and Park! Continue on the Europa and Elbe Cycle Path to the Elbe north of Dessau. Just before the Hunting Bridge, you can refresh yourself at the Landhaus inn. Cross the Hunting Bridge over the Mulde, continue straight ahead.

Travel to Dessau Central Station

by train: at least hourly from Halle (Saale) and Leipzig (every two hours with a change in Bitterfeld), hourly from Magdeburg and Lutherstadt Wittenberg, hourly from Köthen/Bernburg/Aschersleben, hourly from Potsdam/Berlin (every two hours on weekends)

by bus: at least every two hours from Gräfenhainichen on bus line 331 (at least every three hours on weekends)

by train: hourly towards Lutherstadt Wittenberg, hourly towards Magdeburg (with a change in Roßlau) and Dessau-Roßlau
