Description

The fruit teaching path provides an overview of 70 different types and varieties of fruit, wild fruit, and traditional orchards, cultural heritage with high landscape aesthetics and ecological value. What does wood sound like? How tall is the tree? The nature teaching path creatively connects the Auenhaus and the beaver sanctuary.

Along the nature experience path, you can stop at various points such as the Auenhaus and its landscaped open space, the renatured section of the regional drainage ditch, and the beaver sanctuary. It is possible to look inside the living chamber of the beaver lodge. There is a tactile nature trail in Braille specifically designed for visitors with visual impairments. Everything from woodpecker nests to animal tracks is depicted in a touchable way.

The 80 m long willow teaching path at the beaver sanctuary illustrates the diversity of a plant genus – Salix – the willow.
