The Elbe River landscape is described as a true natural paradise. However, this beautiful river landscape has also experienced the dark sides of history. The Elbe River was long part of the inhumane inner-German border. But rivers can not only separate but also connect, and that is why the borderland tour takes you through three states: Brandenburg, Lower Saxony, and Saxony-Anhalt.

The tour leads from Wittenberge - Cumlosen - Lütkenwisch - Schnackenburg - Stresow - Wanzer - Pollitz - Wahrenberg - Wittenberge.
