Seehäuser Foresters Path through Barsberge

Description

The trail starts in the Seehäuser Forst at the Barsberge parking lot. It leads up to 60 meters in height. The trail is varied and characterized by a beautiful forest landscape. Along the way, you will encounter the remains of an old lignite mine, where cartilage coal was mined until 1876. Be sure to take a break at the Barsberge Foresters House, a restaurant for excursions. Next to the inn, Seehäuser foresters have found their final resting place - as well as many dogs in a large pet cemetery.

 

Directions

The trail is mostly gently hilly (except in the Seehäuser Forst there is an ascent up to 60 m in height), otherwise the trail is natural (4 km asphalt).
