Between Bitterfeld and Kemberg, the Lutherweg leads through the largest contiguous recreational mixed forest area in Central Germany, the Düben Heath. Enjoy the peace and clear air on a pilgrimage route through a diverse cultural landscape. The Düben Heath was shaped in earlier centuries by lignite mining, of which today wonderful recreational landscapes in the area of Gräfenhainichen and Bitterfeld-Wolfen testify after ecological restoration.
