Short Description

The cross-connection between the Aller and Elbe rivers runs from west to east on cozy paths through the beautiful landscape of Saxony-Anhalt.

Description

The Aller-Elbe Cycle Path connects the Elbe Cycle Path north of Magdeburg with the Aller Cycle Path near Seggerde in the Börde district and, together with the Aller Cycle Path, provides a connection between the Elbe and Weser rivers.

Route Description

This cycle path creates the connection between the Aller Cycle Path and the Elbe Cycle Path. Starting from Seggerde in the Ohre district, the cycle path runs for approximately 82 km to Hohenwarthe, where it connects directly to the Elbe Cycle Path. The varied landscape of the Flechtinger Höhenzug as well as tourist highlights alternate along the route, offering numerous opportunities for exploration. Along the Romanesque Road and Garden Dreams, you will encounter historical garden and architectural art as well as recent technical masterpieces, such as the largest waterway intersection in Europe in Magdeburg/Rothensee.

The Aller-Elbe Cycle Path starts in Seggerde and runs from east to west to Belsdorf, Flechtingen, Altenhausen, Emden, and Bebertal. Passing through Hundisburg, Haldensleben, Hillersleben, Valhldorf, Groß Ammensleben, Jersleben, and Wolmirstedt, it continues to Hohenwarte. The route traverses diverse landscapes with no significant inclines, making it suitable even for inexperienced cyclists.
