Harzer-Hexen-Stieg variant via Titan RT - the longest suspension bridge of its kind

Short Description

With the help of this short variant, you can combine the hike on the Harzer-Hexen-Stieg with a crossing of Titan RT, the longest suspension bridge of its kind (subject to a fee).

Directions

From Gesundbrunnen in Neuwerk, turn right (south) from the Harzer-Hexen-Stieg and follow the HET-Weg and the signage with the blue triangle towards Rappbode Dam.

At the parking lot for visitors to the attractions at the dam (suspension bridge, Megazipline, etc.), you must purchase a ticket for the suspension bridge either at the machine or at the ticket counter, then follow the signs to the bridge. After crossing the bridge, it goes steeply downhill directly to Wendefurther Dam, which you half-circle before rejoining the Harzer-Hexen-Stieg in Wendefurth.

Naturally, you can also follow the path in the opposite direction.

Safety Instructions

Anyone who wants to cross the bridge must definitely be free from vertigo. If you realize at short notice that you do not want to cross the bridge, you can also bypass it via the dam of Rappbode Dam (free, beautiful view of the suspension bridge).
