Wild boar tour Klötze

Hiking in the Klötzer Wald. The Klötzer Forst is one of the largest contiguous forest areas in the Altmark region. Dark firs. Hidden valleys. Wild boar territory. The goal is the lovingly prepared water-treading place at Schwiesauer See, beautifully located in a gently rolling meadow valley. Light and ease after the dark forest.

Description

The wild boar tour in the Klötzer Forst starts at the Waldbad Klötze. A path branches off at the forest edge and leads along an idyllic small meadow valley. Through a forest section and then in a large curved loop between field and forest towards Schwiesauer See. Up and down through the tall forest. Through a light forest valley. At the lowest point, there is a shelter. In the past, the spring here bubbled year-round - now only temporarily.

And then out of the forest into the valley of the Bake. Along the forest edge to Schwiesauer See. The artificial reservoir lies idyllically in the meadow valley. Ducks. Cows. Dragonflies. The water-treading place is lovingly furnished with attention to detail. A good place for a longer break.

Back, a short stretch along the forest edge. Into the forest at the erratic block. To the major intersection with the Iron Cross, a memorial for the forest workers who fell in World War I. The Altjemmeritzer Weg leads directly back through the forest to the Waldbad.
