Pilgern im Remstal (5) - Berg und Tal: Schorndorf bis Grunbach

Mountain and valley: no wonder. Shortly after Schorndorf, the route begins to climb until it reaches its highest point at 443 meters. Magnificent views of the Rems valley, the Schurwald forest, the Alb, vineyards, orchards, forest and, as the starting point of the tour, a beautiful Gothic town church in the middle of Schorndorf's magnificent old town. The variety of the landscape is what makes this tour so attractive. There are 300 meters of ascent and descent, but once the first hill up to the Ostlandkreuz has been conquered, the route continues comfortably for a few kilometers through shady forest. After meadows and forest, you now hike through the vineyards down into the valley. The Bürgerpark is a good place to rest - the Entdeckerweg is connected to it. It is a mixture of art trail, adventure trail and contemplation trail and invites you to trace the good in life, pride, success, the broken, or balance and cohesion (14-meter table) with body and soul through 7 symbols with many walkable elements made of wood. From here it is only a few hundred meters to the Dionysioskirche in Grunbach, the destination of the tour. There is a pilgrim's stamp here.
