Waldlehrpfad Eibensbach

Aim high with the Eibensbach forest nature trail: various tree species can be discovered on the way up to the Blankenhorn castle ruins.

Whoever climbs the ladder to heaven does not immediately land on cloud nine, but the Blankenkorn castle ruins are the destination. The 111 steps are not the easiest, but they are the shortest way to the former castle. Once at the top, you can admire the imposing remains of the walls of the Staufer castle. A public rest area with barbecue facilities invites you to linger for a while.The path to the castle leads along the forest nature trail in Eibensbach. Numerous native tree species are described there. To help you find the tree described in the forest, it is marked with a red dot.If you are a good walker, you can take a detour to the milk fountain. Unfortunately, it doesn't gush milk, but only chalky water that appears milky when exposed to sunlight.
