Castles, bridges, farmland - hear what the Jagst has to tell over more than 100 kilometers. A natural hiking trail in an ancient cultural landscape.

Over a hundred kilometers from the mouth of the Neckar near Bad Friedrichshall via the northern Hohenlohe district communities to the castle of the Hohenlohe prince in Langenburg - the Jagst entices you to hike between culture and nature.

The section in HeilbronnerLand runs between the mouth of the Jagst into the Neckar through the "knightly Jagsttal" to the festival town of Jagsthausen.

The discovery tour on the Jagst cultural trail begins above and below ground in the salt mine in Bad Friedrichshall - and then continues up the Jagst. Between Neudenau and Möckmühl, the millennium cult site of St. Gangolf, a "horse whispering place" from ancient times and now a famous place of pilgrimage, beckons.

Between Möckmühl and Jagsthausen, you can feel the "borders": sometimes between Rome and Germania and sometimes between Baden and Württemberg. Warriors, artists and great actors are the protagonists here - the Götzenburg is an ideal stage.

The recommended stages on the Jagst cultural hiking trail are between 10 and 16 km long, so can easily be completed in half a day. But you should take your time, "shift down a gear and slow down". Otherwise, hikers will miss out on the true beauty of this trail, which harmoniously combines cultural events and nature experiences with many delicacies.
