Description by the author

This discovery-packed cycle tour takes you along Lake Überlingen via the Bodanrück to the dreamy Lake Mindelsee. Combine your cycle excursion with a boat trip from Wallhausen to Überlingen and enjoy a unique circular tour.

We start our circular tour at the landing site in Überlingen heading west. Past the riverside park and the Lake Constance water supply pumping station, our route takes us to the historic center of Sipplingen. Along the lakeside promenade and past the natural bathing beach, we enjoy the fantastic view of Lake Constance all the way to Ludwigshafen. Once in Ludwigshafen, we pass the Zollhaus with its famous relief façade by Peter Lenk. We reach Bodman via the Aachried nature reserve. After a steep climb over the Bodanrück, we reach Stahringen. We follow the cycle path parallel to the main road and pass through an underpass shortly before entering Güttingen. Before the town center, we turn right into "Zum Bünd" and follow the road to Möggingen. Here we first keep right, past the church of St. Gallus and then turn left into Mindelseestraße, which takes us to the same place.

At the beginning of the lake, we turn right through the Mögginger Ried to the opposite side of the lake. Here, our cycle path leads us along narrow paths through the beautiful nature of the Mindelsee nature reserve. At the eastern end of the lake, we turn right and reach the Lake Constance cycle path towards Dettingen at the parking lot of the wildlife and leisure park. We follow the signs for the Lake Constance cycle path to the center of Dettingen. At the crossroads at Landgasthof Kreuz, we turn left towards Wallhausen. At the end of Dettingen, a cycle path leads down the hill to the lakeshore in Wallhausen, from where we can cross over to Überlingen all year round.
