The circular cycle tour along the Elz leads through Riegel, the cultural and historical gateway to the Kaiserstuhl, to the Rhine with a view of France.
From Emmendingen railroad station along the Elz, you cycle through Riegel, the cultural and historical gateway to the Kaiserstuhl, cross the municipality of Wyhl and reach your destination, the Rhine. You can take a break there with a view across the Rhine to France. Numerous seating areas, the quarry pond and the kiosk at the weir directly on the Rhine in Weisweil invite you to take a break. The return journey takes you through the Rhine forest along the sculpture trail, with numerous wood carvings along the way. The route continues through Hecklingen with a view of the Lichteneck castle ruins, through Köndringen and back to Emmendingen.
