Waldenburg offers you an extremely varied landscape: forests and meadow valleys through which streams flow, reservoirs between forest edges, slopes and orchards, springs, blades, streams, hedges, copses and groves. Not far from here there are three nature reserves worth seeing. Due to historical agricultural use, their flora has changed so much that they are still very different from the surrounding forests today. The idyllic Rößlesmahdsee lake near Goldbach, for example, with its extensive reed beds, stands of alder, old oak trees and a variety of bird species, is also well worth a visit.
