Geschichts Reich (WE4)

Hike along the Rems with the Birkelspitze, Steinbruch and Mühlwiesen garden areas and past places steeped in history as well as information on the history of viticulture in Großheppach.

This hiking trail first leads along the Rems and connects the three garden show areas Birkelspitze, Steinbruch and Mühlwiesen. It then continues through the center of Großheppach, past the historic Prinz-Eugen-Platz to the newly installed themed trail on (wine) history, starting at the Prinz-Eugen-Halle. The route leads through the idyllic vineyards up to the Luitenbächer Höhe vantage point. The way back leads either along the same route or alternatively via Gundelsbach and past the Renaissance castle (Großheppach Castle) dating from 1592 back to Endersbach railroad station.
