On the Little Elster to the Little Spreewald

The area of Schwarzer and Kleiner Elster is located in the Niederlausitz glacial valley and forms the Elster lowland with the landscape-shaping floodplain forests and the wide grassland areas. This tour leads through one of the most charming river landscapes of the Kleine Elster. Tall shade-providing alders and oaks at the riverbank alternate with lush meadows. Due to the low flow velocity of the Kleine Elster, the tour is also suitable for inexperienced boat hikers.
