The 119-kilometre pilgrimage trail from Berlin to Wilsnack is attractive at any season for pilgrims and nature enthusiasts. Wilsnack was once an important medieval place of religious pilgrimage. From 1383 until 1552, pilgrims from all over Europe flocked to see the bleeding hosts that were kept at the St. Nicholas Church of the Holy Blood of Wilsnack (Wunderblutkirche). In 2006, the pilgrims' way was revived as a historical trail.
