The starting point is Templin Stadt Station. From here, the path leads past the stadium to the former Joachimsthalschen Gymnasium with Lehmann Garden. The ensemble is currently being renovated and restored and is expected to reopen as a European school in a few years. Next to it is the Lehmann Garden, a botanical garden founded by Elector Joachim Friedrich at the Joachimsthalschen Gymnasium in 1607 - today a museum and show garden. From March to October, the garden can be visited every Wednesday from 10 am to 12 pm, as well as during the Open Gardens Uckermark event. From here, the path leads past the Multicultural Center to the Museum of City History. It is integrated into the 1.7 km long medieval city wall at Prenzlauer Tor and provides many insights into Templins history and how life has developed here. The path continues along the city wall, past St. Mary Magdalene Church, through Mühlentor and over the Templin Canal to the Citizens Garden, the spa park with numerous green spaces, recreational areas, as well as play and activity elements. Through the Mühlentor, the path leads us to Templins market square with its historic town hall. The tourist information office is also located here, offering interesting guided tours of the city. Through the Berlin Gate, we soon reach the spa mile, a landscaped park connecting the historic city center with NaturThermeTemplin. In addition to playgrounds and a skate park, there is also the Apple Variety Show Garden with more than 300 apple trees as well as cultural and wild plants. Shortly after, you reach NaturThermeTemplin with bathing and sauna facilities, an indoor playground, and a large camper van parking area. Various paths through the adjacent forest area Buchheide lead to Lübbesee. The 12 km long natural lake not only invites you to swim, but canoeing and rowing tours are just as popular as walks along the shore or bike rides around the entire lake. From Lübbesee Beach, the path leads back to the train station. If you are interested in special private gardens, you should visit Uckermark when the Open Gardens Uckermark event opens its doors to interested visitors again. The changing dates take place twice a year - in June and September. Then you can wander through the Open Gardens again, gather ideas, exchange plants, or simply admire what can be done with the different garden situations. This includes the Lehmann Garden in Templin as well as the garden of Kathrin Bohm-Berg and Christian Berg. Some gardens, green spaces, and nurseries also open on special occasions or for special events.
