A hiking trail that has some inclines. It goes up to the St. Martiner Fronbaum, a small, open solid hut with a piece of tree trunk as a seat inside. You pass the sand meadow pond, of which you can enjoy a wonderful view. On the way you pass the Hesselbachhütte, a small round refuge with a bench surrounding the inside and a central table. A few steps in front of the hut there is a seating area with a table and two benches. On the further hike you pass below the Schafkopfes. At 618m, this mountain is one of the highest in the Palatinate Forest. There is mainly mixed forest on the elevation. The summit is marked with a boundary stone with the inscription 1822 and a stone pyramid. Over the soup bowl (585m) you go back to the starting point.
