Circular hiking trail through the wetlands of Löpten Fenne and Wustrickwiesen

Fenne means marshland or bog. The trail crosses the Löptener Fenne and Wustrickwiesen nature reserve (wetlands), which is home to many endangered animal and plant species. Starting and finishing at the railway station in Groß Köris, it is easy to get there by regional train. Together with the Paul-Gerhardt-Weg the trail leads towards the resting place at theso called Löptener Dreieck, aplace nearby the mainroad throug Körbis Krug. The wetland of the Wustrickgraben cannot be overlooked.
The small village of Löpten is reached through sections of forest and meadows. An airfield was once in operation here. The runway can still be glimpsed during a detour. Passing the protected wetlands of the Fenne and Wustrickgraben, the trail leads back to Groß Köris.

   By car: Take the A 13 motorway to the Schwerin exit. Then follow the signs.
