Albsteig Schwarzwald Etappe 2: Görwihl - Häusern

On the challenging second sport stage, there are numerous steep ascents and descents to overcome on the almost 28 km, mostly on narrow, rooty, natural paths.

Many sights, great natural spectacles and viewpoints accompany hikers on this strenuous tour. The second stage initially leads back to the Alb at a leisurely pace via the Höllbach stream. You soon pass the rest area on the rock of the Teufelsküche. Shortly afterwards, the trail leads along a reactivated, enchanted path to Niedermühle. Here the picture changes drastically again. The trail leads through the Alb valley with its open, flowering meadows before the strenuous ascent through the shady forest to Wolpadingen. There you can enjoy the view as far as the Swiss Alps. From the Dachsberghalle, the tour leads along an old smugglers' path to the Bildstein rock, which offers a sweeping view over the southern Alb valley. The Albstausee is walked halfway around on natural paths. The route then leads past small streams and rocks up to the Häusern sports field. You continue along the rocky path to the village, which is the end of the stage.
