Albsteig Schwarzwald Etappe 3 Tour Ost: Häusern - St. Blasien - Menzenschwand - Feldberg

Two waterfalls, the Klusen moraine, the ascent to the Feldberg Pass and the landscape and vegetation of the Menzenschwander Valley make up the charm of this varied tour.

From Häusern, it is only a stone's throw to the Windbergschlucht gorge with its waterfall. From there, the route heads north above the cathedral city. At Glashofsäge, the Alb and Albsteig trails split into two arms. This stage follows the eastern Menzenschwander Alb. You soon reach an idyllic biotope south of the tennis courts. Small ponds and a pavilion invite you to linger. At this point, the Albsteig turns eastwards and leads to Menzenschwand-Vorderdorf with beautiful views of the valley. From here, the Albsteig Trail leads along field paths to Hinterdorf, past the game reserve, the ski jump and the Radon Revital Bad to the waterfall. The hiking trail continues steadily uphill along a narrow path through goat pastures along the slope. The goats are used to maintain the landscape and help to preserve the unique vegetation of the high valley. The steep ascent to the top of the Feldberg pass begins at the Klusen moraine.
