RI3 - Luhdener Klippenturm-Route

You can reach the starting point of this route from the Frankenburg parking lot via the Frankenburgroute RI 1 (about 1.2 km, duration approx. 20 min.) or via the Waldkaterroute RI 2 starting from the Waldkater parking lot (about 800 m, duration approx. 12 min.). The route takes you through the beautiful mixed forest with occasional views into the Wesertal valley to the Klippenturm tower above the Ludener Klippen on the ridge of the Weser Mountains. It is essentially the home tower of the city of Rinteln and offers a magnificent panoramic view both towards the Weser side and to the north towards Bad Eilsen, Bückeburg, Obernkirchen, and up to the Bückebergen beyond the Auetal valley.
