This bike tour also starts at the tourist information office in Bispingen. The first stage destination is the heath village of Hützel. From here, the route leads through the former diatomaceous earth area and the Spöktal valley to Steinbeck. Diatomaceous earth is a sedimentary rock formed from the protective shell of dead diatoms. The material is a valued resource for filters and binding agents. In the mid-19th century, rich diatomaceous earth deposits were discovered in the Luhe valley. For over a hundred years, diatomaceous earth was mined and was a very important industry in the community. A milestone in the development was the discovery by Nobel laureate Nobel in Hamburg, who found that soaking diatomaceous earth in nitroglycerin allowed the extraction of the explosive dynamite.Along the Luhe, past the Krüsberg to the Schwindebecker Heide with the Schwindequelle spring to Soderstorf and through the forest to Rehrhof, the path now continues along the B209. From the bird of prey enclosure, the route continues towards Steinbeck and through the Spöcktal valley to Hützel until you finally return to Bispingen.Bispingen - Hützel - Steinbeck - Schwindebeck - Schwindequelle - Soderstorf - Rehrhof - Bird of Prey Enclosure - Steinbeck - Hützel - Bispingen
