Discover the southern border of the North German Plain from Preußisch Oldendorf. Between the foot of the Wiehen Mountains and the marsh areas of the plain, the Romans had to search for their way laboriously. Today we have it easier, and on the bicycle it is also much more comfortable!
This route runs through a beautiful rural idyll with many small, livable villages until shortly before the Mittelland Canal. Remarkable old manor houses are also located along the wayside, such as the Hüffe Castle in Lashorst, the Hollwinkel Castle in Hedem, and the Groß-Engershausen manor in Engershausen.
