SHS 3: Senne Safari, Stalag and Stukenbrock | local bike tour SHS

Away from the main roads, you drive on well-developed paths through the flat Sennelandscape at the foot of the Teutoburg Forest. You rarely pass through forested areas. Most of the time, you have a wide view over the open landscape. A side trip to the Ems Adventure World is recommended. Through your own activities, you will learn all about the phenomena surrounding the Ems River, whose source is located in Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock. From there, you can easily reach the town center of Stukenbrock, passing by the traditional restaurant Zum Kuhkamp. In the town center, you have various dining options, from ice cream parlors to upscale cafes, from snack bars to charming restaurants.
On the way to Stukenbrock-Senne, you drive along a long stretch of the district road. A well-developed bike path will safely and comfortably take you to your next destination, the turnoff to Hohe Straße. You now head straight towards Senne Lake. It's worth taking a walk around the lake. Along the Furlbach, you will come to the campsite at Furlbach. A small shop will help you refuel under the trees.
Back in Stukenbrock-Senne, take a look at St. Achatius Church. Do you notice anything? The barrel vault is a particularly wood-saving roof variant!
