From the Weser port to the Wittekind stone

The ascent into the Vlotho mountain region begins at the lowest point of the tour, on the banks of the Weser. Leaving the old harbor, successful measures for near-natural water development can be admired along the Linnenbeeke.
Then it continues past wet meadows and species protection waters to the Hammerschmiede. After a visit to the Vlotho spa park, the path now ascends to the Kleiner Selberg at 238 m high. Here stands a noteworthy stock of the juniper heath, and in the nearby bushes, in summer, a bird with the striking name Red-backed Shrike can be seen.
Continuing to the Eiberg offers a magnificent view over the Lippe mountain region. A grass path leads along a network of hedges before descending only downhill back to the Weser via the Wittekindstein.
