From "Eternal Peace" to Eimterbäumerhof

At the large Herford cemetery "Ewiger Frieden" where the Tawny Owl calls out "Come along - come along!" the Nature Route Herford starts. First, it goes to the old shooting range, where the police and British Army still practice today. With a beautiful view over the city, the path ascends to the small Thomaskirche in Schwarzenmoor. Passing a hedge, the route winds over the "Egge" through forest and meadows to the Heeperhof in a dreamy location. With many impressions from the Bramschebachtal, you reach the valley of the river Werre via grass paths. Next to an abandoned farmstead, you can hear many nightingales there in spring! Through the wide floodplain of the river, the cycle path passes by an old lime tree and the Eimterbäumerhof back to the starting point.
