On historical paths, the circuit in the southern Eggegebirge leads you around the former glassworks Marschallshagen near the Lichtenau district of Holtheim.
Shady-cool deciduous and coniferous forests characterise the landscape and make hiking an experience for nature lovers. Beautiful views repeatedly offer variety for the eyes, while numerous huts along the way provide ample opportunities for a cozy rest.
In the 19th century, the Marschallshagen glassworks was an important glass producer and employer in the former Büren district.
