Stones and More

The 114-kilometer-long cycling route "Steine und Mehr" was realized as a joint project of the municipalities Geseke, Anröchte, and Warstein. Visitors can experience exciting stories about limestone at a total of 33 stations. There is no shortage of sights: for example, they are located directly at the edge of still active quarries, find art objects in no longer active parts, or catch a glimpse into a renatured mining area where nature takes its course while humans are locked out. Follow the 114-kilometer main route or gradually discover the three sub-routes.
"Steine und Mehr" is a project of the Südwestfalen Regionale 2013, funded by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Energy, Industry, SMEs, and Handicrafts of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
