F7 Local hiking trail Feudingen "On the heights around the Lahn Valley Rampart"

The local hiking trail F7 leads us around the village of Rückershausen with its magnificent ski area, the mountain ridges Birkenhecke (height 667m) and Weibelskopf (height 630m).
The starting point and destination is the hiking car park at the ski lodge in Rückershausen. Here you will find the ski area of SC Rückershausen with the unique winter sports facility in the Siegen-Wittgenstein district, consisting of three ski jumps, a natural ski jump, a mat ski jump, and a small jumping facility. The F7 takes us over the heights on a natural path towards Birkenhecke to the Karrenplatz (height 618m).
Further along the F7 we pass the bench "schwarze Grube", inviting us to linger for a short while, and then hike to Kreuzgrube (height 609m). There is a wonderful view of Feudingen. Now we descend past the Augustenhof forest house with its Galloway cattle towards the pasture, passing the nature reserves of Eltershausen and Jägerwiese. The F7 continues through Rückershausen to the endpoint of the hiking car park at the ski lodge in Rückershausen.
Traditionally, a visit to the ski lodge is worthwhile on May 1st as well as for the raising of the maypole on Pentecost.
