The hike leads from the hiking car park, initially for about half an hour through the beautiful Beken Valley. This is followed by an equally long ascent through a magnificent beech forest to the Burenlinde, the highest point of the tour at 368 meters. From there, it goes almost continuously downhill. In the Lippspringer forest, you will find the former Bad Lippspringer Forester's house and the thatched hunting lodge of the Duke of Holstein-Glücksburg on the wayside. Passing by the "Große Brichkuhle," one of the largest sinkholes in the region, and Hindahls Kreuz, the path leads to the Papenberg viewpoint. Finally, it goes steeply downhill into the Beken Valley back to the starting point.
