Rahden Tonnenheide-Tour / Cycle Path 11

The cycle path number 11 leads you from the museum courtyard through the beautiful Rahden park landscape further to Wehe to the oldest post mill on Mühlenstraße in the Minden-Lübbecke district. The mill is still at its original location and operational. Milling and baking days also take place here.
Continue on to Barl through the nature reserves Schwarzes Moor and Weißes Moor, inviting you to take a walk. Next, you will come to the Großer Stein. The Großer Stein is a landmark of the Rahden region. A giant boulder on the Klasing farm. This witness of the Ice Age is an impressive size of 10 x 7 x 3 meters and a weight of approximately 350 tons, the largest known glacial erratic in northern Germany.
On the way back, you will pass through the Hahnenkämper Heide. When you are on the Schmalger Weg, it is recommended to take a detour to the Tonnenheider Hochzeitsmühle. Civil wedding ceremonies have been taking place in the gallery Dutch mill for several years.
On the way back, the Rahden city center invites you to stroll and linger with its small shops and boutiques, or to take a short walk where you can admire St. Johannis Church Rahden and the old houses.
