A varied, medium-difficulty circular tour in the middle of the Neander Valley. Three water castles were built in the Middle Ages protected by the River Düssel. In the west "Haus Morp", in the east at the gates of the Neander Valley "Haus Brück", and in the center of the early settlement near the first church "Haus Bavier". Between this now disappeared water castle and the first Romanesque church, the oldest settlement core of the city of Erkrath has formed. The development of the settlement is particularly well reflected in the historical streets - Bahnstraße, Kirchstraße, and Kreuzstraße - and in public buildings such as churches, town hall, and the market hall. From Haus Brück, you quickly reach the natural landscapes. The path leads you through true hiking gems like the idyllic Stindertal, along the Rotthäuser Bachtal, and along the Düssel Valley to Haus Morp.
