L4 meets Mythen und Sagenweg

The entrance promises a half-timbered idyll and historically vivid stories. A successful contrast before being captivated by the clarity of nature. Knotty old deciduous forests that provide natural shade with their canopy of leaves, a cheerfully babbling stream, promising forested passages that nature has reclaimed and now presents in lush greenery and colorful blooms, and sunny expansive views of the Wittgenstein mountain world.
Initially rather flat, the path later winds idyllically up to the Butzeberg via the Neesbach valley. Here, some altitude meters are gained, each one of them is worth it!
Here, the L4 meets the Myths and Legends Trail. It becomes a bit mystical along the way, especially when passing the Devil's Pulpit rock formations. Today a natural monument, once rather feared... the stories told on the display boards distributed above the trail explain what it was all about...
The trail is also our four-legged friend's tip: highly recommended for hikes with dogs, as at the beginning of the tour, ample swimming opportunities open up for the four-legged friend (also gladly with its biped) in Laasphe!
On the way back, a stop at the Devil's Pulpit mountain hut is recommended - here, energy reserves can be replenished in a great atmosphere on Thursdays/Fridays from 4 pm and on weekends from 11 am!
For those in need of a cool-down at the end of the hike, a round through our Kneipp facility in the adjacent city park is possible. Kneipping in the foot and arm basins offer wonderfully healing stimuli and refreshment at the same time (unfortunately only allowed for bipeds here!)
