The abbreviation V. L. stands for the Vogtei Lage, to which the village belonged in the past. The abbreviation V. H. stands for Vogtei Heiden. The tour starts at the Rethlager Mühlenteich and leads through the adjacent residential area. Passing the village church of the Evangelical Free Church, we continue through the neighborhood. At Hardenbergstraße, we then turn left and continue through the Benten. After crossing Bielefelderstraße, we head through the fields towards the gravel pits. There, the Rethlager Bach appears again, which we follow upstream towards the cemetery. From here, we return to our starting point via Weberstraße.
