Gifhorn - Wahrenholz - Hankensbüttel - Wittingen - Bernsteinsee - Gifhorn
The Südheide circular route takes you to the most beautiful landscapes and important sights of the Südheide. You cycle through flowering heathlands, blue lakes, and large moors. Always following the signage, you will be led, for example, along the Elbe-Seitenkanal to the stages of Gifhorn, Wahrenholz, Wittingen, and Bernsteinsee, where you will stay overnight. The four stages are mostly flat and relatively short, ranging between 25 and 40 kilometers. This leaves plenty of time to enjoy nature and explore the destinations. Additionally, cafes and inns along the way invite you to well-deserved breaks with regional specialties.
The circular route covers around 130 kilometers to the most beautiful destinations of Südheide Gifhorn.
