Forest adventure trail "Bridges through the Moor" Knesebeck

An exciting hike leads from bridge to bridge through the marshy forest of the Bornbruchmoor in Knesebeck. Several attractive stations help to playfully and puzzlingly discover the diversity in the forest.

Interactive information elements convey central messages to children and families in terms of education for sustainable development. The content is easily understandable, yet challenging, conveyed through large-scale drawings and simple illustrations, as well as through interesting interaction and gaming opportunities.

Bridges on the 12-Bridges Trail

The so-called 12-Bridges Trail, an approximately 800-meter long, very scenic section of the Knesebeck Forest Adventure Path, lives up to its colloquial name with suggested bridges. The "bridges" make old watercourses over the path clearly visible again. Who will count along: are there really twelve?

Learning through play

Balancing on tree trunks, walking on the wobbly bridge, or matching the fruits to the leaves of the trees on a rotating panel - these are just some of the various stations that forest visitors will encounter on the forest educational trail.

The starting point is at the House of the Landscape in Knesebeck. From there, it leads on a 3.5 km long signposted circular route through the Bornbruchsmoor.
