Berxer High Trail (Tour 6)

The place Bruchhausen-Vilsen has around 40 km of marked hiking trails. By combining different paths, circular routes of various lengths are created (Tour 1-Tour 7). The trails lead through gentle hills, fields, lush meadows past streams, and through intact nature around Bruchhausen-Vilsen.

The diversity of nature and the charms of the seasons make these trails discovery tours. Places to stop, sights, and special features are included in the respective tour descriptions. The routes are easy to recognize by the signage and generally lead over well-maintained paths.

Tour 6 Berxer Höhenweg: Circular route from the i-point at the train station/tourism service via Berxen back to Bruchhausen-Vilsen (7.7 km, marking: path with tree):

Special features: Museum railway, former sand pits

From the i-point/tourism service at the train station, walk a short distance through Bahnhofstraße, then uphill through Feldstraße to the Geestrand. We walk between former sand pits, descend, cross the county road, and walk about 400 m through the Berxer Marschbruch until the hiking trail branches off to the left and in a large curve leads back to Vilsen over the Geestrücken and through the Trahetal.
