This circular route of 7.8 kilometers takes you to old sacred places and introduces you to regional legends. Learn about the Germanic worlds, gods, and the sacred rocks around the Ith. On the way to Bessingen, you will be accompanied by a magnificent view to the west over the "Himdorfer Field." There, during a tasting of the spring water from the sulfur spring, you will not only learn where the water comes from and why it has a special taste, but also hear a story from 1757 about the stolen war chest. Above the village, a bench in front of an impressive landscape invites you to take a break. On the way to the cliff ridge, let the legend of Adam and Eve be told to you. Finally, when you reach the ridge path, you will arrive at the heathen cult area around the Fahnenstein via Falkenstein. On this god stone, the images of the gods have recently been rediscovered. From the lookout point, you can look beyond Coppenbrügge to Osterwald and even, in good visibility, all the way to Hannover. After the steep descent and on the way back to the starting point, you will learn more at the edge of the forest about the Devil's Kitchen as a cult cave and a place where the Pied Piper may have lured.
