The route leads along wide forest paths and is well suited for families. For a break in between, you can take a short detour to hiking trail No. 15 and visit the shelter at Reihersee. Here you will also find stamp point No. 18 of the Ile Leisure Stamp Pass of the Northern Harz Foreland Tourism Association. So it is worth taking food with you. The start and end of the tour are located at a small kiosk in the district of Salzgitter-Gebhardshagen, which offers drinks and snacks. Otherwise, the route mostly runs through shady forest, but there are some longer ascents to overcome.
