Tour 1: Between two Kneipp health resorts

On this tour, the two Kneipp health resorts present themselves from their diverse side. Water plays a major role here - with a section along the Ruhr and the Möhne, but also the old Hanseatic city of Brilon with its historical buildings and picturesque half-timbered alleys is a place to linger and catch your breath.

The first part of the tour leads downstream on the Ruhrtal cycle path towards Bestwig. After a few kilometers, at junction 17, you leave the Ruhrtal cycle path and ride through the beautiful village of Antfeld.
Now it goes gently uphill on the cycle path to the Brilon district of Altenbüren and further over the heights to Brilon, where the old town with the historic market square invites you to linger.
Then you continue cycling north along the Möhne and turn here at junction 10 towards Scharfenberg. On the stretch between Rixen and Esshoff, you reach the Altenbürener Mühle restaurant.
On the further way to Nuttlar, you cross the highest highway bridge in North Rhine-Westphalia. At junction 18, you ride the last stretch on the Ruhrtal cycle path upstream back over Antfeld to the starting point.
