Circular walk through the historic town center of Kranenburg

Along the Rütterswall, along the old city wall, there is a picturesque view of the mill tower, the defense and powder towers, as well as the collegiate and pilgrimage church of St. Peter and Paul. Since 1308, this has attracted numerous visitors to Kranenburg. The former monastery building, the Katharinenhof, is now a museum where both testimonies of past epochs and contemporary art, such as works by the renowned artist Joseph Beuys, are exhibited. The historical mill tower is also part of the museum complex today. Further art treasures can also be found on the nearby cemetery, such as the monument for the van der Grinten family created by Joseph Beuys as well as the Peter Heinrich Thielen monument.
