Velbert-Neviges to Velbert-Nordrath
Our journey starts at the Neviges S-Bahn station. This stage, which is quite short at 7.2 kilometers, is extremely varied, so to speak, a farm-to-farm stage: farms, horse farms, organic farms, and a trout farm are our companions on the way. First, only uphill, on beautiful field paths and narrow meadow paths. A highlight halfway is the Windrather Chapel, dedicated to Saint Suitbertus, who missionized the Neander Valley over 1,300 years ago. However, the mission of the hikers is to reach the destination after the Windrather Chapel and the organic farms to be crossed in the Windrather Valley up to Nordrath.
