Seven Hills - 5-Streams-Hike

We start at the remarkable military cemetery in Ittenbach and first tolerate the noise of the A 3 and the ICE railway line in order to head towards Gräfenhohn in Laagsbusch. Here too, on the edge of the development, a hiking parking lot has been created, which is somewhat hidden and can serve as a starting point. By now, the traffic noise has long disappeared, and a lovely stream valley welcomes us, making us marvel at the surprisingly quiet valleys in the Siebengebirge time and time again. At the end of the Laubachtal, we cross the Pleisbach in Nonnenberg and walk along a meadow that offers a great view back to the Oelberg, into the Heisternbusch. Bright, tall deciduous forest accompanies us on the way to the Hühnerberg. Shortly after leaving the forest, we reach the conveyor belt, which transports the stones extracted from the Hühnerberg quarry to the loading station. The view of the Siebengebirge panorama alone makes this hike worthwhile. In Quirrenbach, we come across another chapel on the chapel hike and tackle the next stream crossing. After the wooden bridge over the Quirrenbach, we turn right to follow the stream uphill after a few hundred meters. We reach the curve of the L 143, which we briefly follow downhill to reach the Logebachtal. We follow this until under the highway, to pass the Laagshof on our way back towards the military cemetery. It is a surprising hike with many small, nice encounters with the other Königswinter.
