Cycle path Sieg | Circular path | Siegburg-Bergheim-Siegburg

On the way to Bergheim, the river Sieg meets the river Agger. At junction 29, follow the signs for "Siegmündung" and then continue towards Meindorf. Please note that you must drive to Meindorf on the St. Augustin side. You will reach the small village after about 5 kilometers. Right by the water, there is a beautiful playground, and for a little refreshment, you can also jump into the Sieg here. After a refreshing swim, continue on the saddle, and after about 2 kilometers, you will arrive at the restaurant "zur Siegfähre". Here, you can fuel up for the next stage. The idyllic beer garden is right next to the oldest and only one-man ferry in Germany. This so-called "Gierfähre" is held by a rope and is driven to the other side by the current.

Continue by bike towards Bergheim, and after just one kilometer, you will reach the Fisheries Museum. Here, children can participate in a museum rally. After the visit, when you are back at the Siegfähre, you can decide to ride back the same way to Troisdorf, or to cycle through the meadow landscape on the other side of the Sieg. Back in Siegburg, it is worth visiting "anno17". Named after Archbishop Anno, this is the first public gastronomy of the Archdiocese of Cologne offering small dishes and snacks for hungry cyclists. Once refreshed, small and big fish fans can visit the "Wissenshaus Wanderfische". Located right by the Sieg, it houses an impressive wall installation about the journey of salmon, exhibits of local migratory fish, and a water workshop. So, there is plenty of variety on the green route.
